Making A Full Circle.

I love it when a plan comes together, one may think whatever one will about those Rastafarians, but many of their songs mention Babylon, Zion, Jerusalem, King David, Solomon, Israel and the Maccabees. The Star of David is prominent in their symbolism and it is speculative how these things came to be. I remember once talking to a Rastafarian who described reggae as the new song mentioned in Revelation 5:9 and Revelation 14:3. Sure, he was smoking copious amounts of weed at the time, and who knows what the hell was on his mind. I just find it revealing and satisfying that the people who sang those songs for and of Zion, Israel, many of whom never read anything more complicated than the bible, who probably couldn't point to Israel on the map and sang these songs for her, have somehow passed the baton to those they perceived themselves to have kinship with. It is strange indeed and yet somehow extremely satisfying and complete. It is all very mysterious, considering that the Rastafarian movement didn't begin until the 1930's in the British island colony of Jamaica before the state of Israel was established or re-established. I'm just saying, some things are uncanny.
